Rosemary-Garlic White Beans, a Copycat Recipe

Rosemary-Garlic White Beans is another favorite of mine from Zoe’s Kitchen. It’s incredibly easy to prepare and if you have a rosemary bush outside, you can snip a few fresh sprigs off the bush!

I saw this recipe as a “copycat recipe” from and wanted to try *substituting essential oils* for the herbs.

No, I don’t ALWAYS use essential oils in my cooking….I will default to fresh herbs first when I have them on hand. They give you great fresh flavor, they also look pretty in the finished dish!

Today, I’m sharing both versions of Rosemary-Garlic White Beans (with and without essential oils), so if you don’t have fresh or dried rosemary or are out of oregano, and want to try substituting your *Rosemary and Oregano Essential oils, give it a try!

The trick to using essential oil HERBS in cooking is to add them as close to the finish time as possible. Here, simply combine all ingredients (except your essential oils) and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes.

At the end add your essential oils, starting with a toothpick dipped into the essential oil and tasting. Add more as needed to adjust to your taste.
